Welcome!
The Shoppe was a long time in the planning and, after attending antique shows and auctions for many years, we decided to focus our efforts on a real storefront. The shop is nestled in the historic downtown of Bedford, Pennsylvania. Built in 1878, Bird's Nest Farm, the Shoppe is located in a building that originally housed a country store. The building has been fully restored -- everything from its impressive tin ceilings to the double decker porches that span the front enterance. Once inside, you are transported back in time… every effort has been made to furnish and stock the store with period pieces from the old oak counters and nickel cash register to a cigar store Indian to greet ya!
Antiques & Collectibles
Shop keepers, Michael Stipanovic and Huston Godwin, offer a variety of antiques and collectibles that change almost on a weekly basis. The antiques in the Shoppe reflect the furnishings of a turn-of-the-century farmhouse with several early Pennsylvanian pieces, including:
- Step Back Cupboards
- Wooden Benches
- Dry Sinks
- Adirondack Style Furniture
We also sell wonderful early items such as baskets, kitchen utensils, crockery, including Ironstone and Yelloware, and an ever changing assortment of early quilts in affordable price ranges.
Please check the site regularly -- we'll be offering more antiques and garden items as they arrive to the shoppe! Any questions, please email us or call 814.623.NEST.
